Are you considering organising a charity fundraiser at your school but stuck for ideas? Well fear not, here at Easyfundraising we have compiled a list of great seasonal school fundraising ideas to get your creative juices flowing.
Summer fundraising ideas:
School Sports Day - Why not combine your schools annual sports day with some charitable goodness? You could organise a sponsored walk or host a series of sporting events where athletes pay an entry fee to enter with the winner receiving a prize. Not only this but you can make even more money for charity by selling food and drink at the event
Barbeque - Host a summer BBQ at the school, this could either be during school hours or at the weekend for the local community. Speak to local butchers to see if they will donate some meat in return for free advertisement at the event. It is also worth speaking with local supermarkets to see if they will donate some food and drink for the charitable cause.
Winter fundraising ideas:
Christmas Bizarre - A Christmas bizarre is an excellent school fundraising event as you can make money in so many different ways. You could charge admission, host a raffle or even an auction, sell homemade Christmas cards and even have a Santa's grotto!
Unwanted gift sale - Don't let all those unwanted gifts go to waste. Host an unwanted gift sale at your school. You could either charge the vendors a set fee to pitch at the event or take a cut of their takings. Students should also be encouraged to bring in their unwanted presents to sell or even donate to a charity!
Easter Fundraising Ideas :
Easter Egg raffle - Purchase a really big Easter Egg or speak with a local supermarket to see if they will donate one. You can then host a raffle at your school to win it. The profit made on selling the raffle tickets can then be donated to charity.
Decorated Easter Egg - Art students could take part in an decorated Easter egg competition. Each student pays a small fee to enter the competition with the best decorated egg winning a host of prizes. Lower your overheads by speaking with local businesses to see if they will donate prizes or art supplies for the event.
