Does school really have any point to it? Other than perhaps to ensure that minors are kept in warm and relatively safe environments for most of the day so that their parents can work and earn money?

It's difficult to believe that what is learned in school really stays with people. Algebra and maths is always something that is forgotten, and even if perfectly remembered, is highly unlikely to actually come into use in daily life.

Nature versus nurture is a common phrase, but essentially entirely useless. What is the point of that saying also? A child is born, and no doubt the experiences that they have affect it's path to adult life, but knowing this basic fact does not provide a definitive answer to exactly how much a child changes, or how much it stays the same as when it was born. Christmas presents are usually equally important to children of all backgrounds.

This is one aspect of the world that is usually the same all over. The phrase ‘people are all the same' is a short-sighted and narrow-minded one. The obvious fact is that people are not the same. Some countries can easily rally thousands of people together just so those people can stand in the hot and dusty streets, brandishing their large knives, squealing to the sky and chanting like ancient tribesmen. In some parts of the world, their brains are wired so differently that they will do all manner of things that seem morally incomprehensible to others. However it still stays fashionable to assume that all people are the same and all are equal, and all have the same a href=http://www.iwantoneofthose.com>gift ideas.

There is one equality though - people do treat their children more or less the same, when their kids are under the age of 10. Toys and games are always popular for all kids. Parents usually go over the top in protecting their children and sacrifice most of their energy and life in order to give the children what they want, in a safe and protected environment - no matter how they will then choose to treat their children when they grow up.
