Organising and running a school fundraiser can be a daunting experience, especially when you are investing your own hard earned cash. Well fear not! Below is a list of great school fundraiser you can do on a budget, which are not only cheap to run but easy to organise too!

1-Staff/Pupil Slave Auction - This is a simple, easy and cheap way to raise lots of money for your chosen charity or cause. A school slave auction sees volunteers such as a pupils or staff being "sold" to donors in an auction style event, where the proceeds go straight to charity.
The "slaves" then have to do tasks for the winning bidder for the rest of the day.

The event require little to no investment. All it requires is promotion as the venue can be at the school and no specialist equipment is required. The key to a successful slave auction is having lots of slaves - recruit early on and leave plenty of time to find enough staff and pupils to make the auction fun and exciting. Remember to also promote the charity you are collecting for to not only increase donations but awareness too.

2.School Disco - A school disco is a brilliant fundraiser which is relatively cheap and easy to organise. The first step is sourcing the music; this will be your largest overhead but can easily be reduced to nothing either by finding a DJ who will play free-of-charge all in the name of charity or by organising the music yourself. Just remember, the more you spend on a DJ the more you will have to sell the tickets for. The next step is to find a couple of volunteers to help you collect the money on the night and to help clean up once the partygoers go home. Another easy way to raise money on the night is to sell food and drink to the thirsty ravers.

3. Sponsored Silence - This is a very easy school fundraiser that requires little investment. The key to a successful sponsored silence is pre-planning. Ensure you hand out sponsorship forms to students ahead of the event to give them enough time to collect sponsorship. It is also worth sending out a sponsorship pack which includes information about the charity the school is raising money for so that they can explain this to their donors. After the event has been held you should actively encourage the students to chase up sponsorship so that you can raise the maximum amount possible. You should also provide the students with Thank You letters that they can give to their sponsors - this will encourage them to donate again if you hold another fundraiser at your school.
