Down’s syndrome is a chromosomal disorder which is diagnosed when children are born with an extra chromosome. This imbalance within their bodies causes them to have lower cognitive ability and a particular set of facial features. It is still not clear to this day what causes such an abnormality, therefore there is no successful treatment.
