In today's world, we cannot even imagine our life without the existence of USB pen drive. It has become the integral part of our life with the advent of technology. It has gained popularity in a very short span of time. In the last ten years its use has ever increased. So what is so special about the USB pen drive. It is one of the most portable thing to carry our data with us wherever we go. For eg. a movie buff can copy his movies in pen drive and can watch it on any device which recognises usb drive and is capable of playing multimedia videos.

An official dignitary can store all his important documents in the pen drive to copy or access the data whenever required on any computer. The USB pen drive has evolved tremendously in the last few years. Earlier most of the pen drives had the capacity to store lesser data like 512 Mb or 1gb but now high capacity storage pen drives have come into existence which are capable of storing up to 64 gigabyte of data. Well, that is a huge amount of space considering the fact that not many years ago, the much bigger hard disks used to be of just 40 gb capacity. For a student like me Pen Drive is just a saviour. I always need to have my documents and presentations handy so i can copy it from my laptop to the computer in my college library and vice verse. When I have to give a presentation in the class i just have to carry my Pen Drive with me, thus it saves me from the weight of carrying my laptop with me. My 8 gb Pen Drive also helps me to exchange movies. music and games with my friends on a daily basis.

The best thing about my usb Pen Drive is the good copy and paste process which saves from the hassle of writing the files to the disk. The size of the Pen Drive in comparison to the CD disk is another huge benefit. Pen Drive is certainly a great technological innovation.
