When it comes to presentations, anything you can do to add more "flavor" to your project will make it more successful. Whether it's adding color or audio or whatever you can to catch the eye and the ear, anything you do to catch and keep someone's attention is where the successful presentations excel. That's why using video to catch the eye and the ear is so powerful.
We've all seen great video clips. Slow motion sports scenes, magnificent scenery shots, awe inspiring space views and stunning explosions of color from fireworks are just a very few examples of the vast montage of video clips available. And when bring the added dimension of high definition to the table, it becomes even more impactful when used in your presentation. But how much would this add to the production cost?
The answer to that question is, not that much actually. If you're already going to be using stock video footage in your presentation or project anyway, then you've pretty much already accounted for costing out the HD clips. For only a few dollars more, you're adding a whole level of impact and benefit to your project. People have been hammered with just how great HD is. Most everyone has made the investment in some kind of HD television with the wide aspect 16:9 screen, so using HD video in your project only makes sense. Why should you limit yourself to standard def when high def is the same price or only a little more in cost?
OF course, that answer is you shouldn't. At all. The added investment you may have to make in adding that HD clip will be well worth it when your audience sees the clip and reacts to it. And instead of having to invest in your own cameras, having a crew custom shoot the material you want, using stock footage means you get what you want at a fraction of the cost. So, that means for the bottom line, you're saving money all the way around and getting a great project out of it in the process.
All one has to do is look at the amazing quality of the clips available to understand just how great their project or production will look with that clip as a part of it. And with the vast array of clips available, it isn't difficult to find the exact clips we want. Whether its sports or animals, insects or cars, people or scenery, there are thousands of clips available and the great part is they're all in HD!
By taking the time to carefully choose the perfect clips for your project and being willing to maybe spend a few dollars more to use the footage, then you've got a project that your customers and clients are going to find is amazing. And by using HD video clips, your project is going to be even more impactful than ever before.
